Been dealing with a lot of stuff over the last couple of weeks or so.
I'm a little stressed out over J's job hunting situation (it's a tough market out there!!) and I think I've let myself get a little rundown. As a result I've been fighting off a cold or a severe allergy and recovering from a nasty gall bladder attack. My knee hasn't been helping either.
I think that my eating pattern,(lot's of stress eating!!) over the last few weeks and a bit, hasn't helped. It certainly resulted in the gall bladder flaring up and me putting on just over 2 lbs of the weight that I had lost.
I've hauled out my knitting needles and started a sweater for myself. I figure if I can keep my hands full and busy, they are less likely to be stuffing things into my mouth!! So far, it seems to be working. :-) The sweater is coming along nicely as well, hopefully I will have it finished this week.
This is what I'm currently making. Wonder if that accessory to the side, will magically appear once I've finished?? LOL !!
March is definitely roaring in like a lion, here. We have a series of big winter storms coming through the area. Mainly rain, down in the valleys so far. However, the local forecasters are suggesting that we may get snow on the valley floor this afternoon. They're calling for 3 inches in the afternoon and another 3 inches this evening. We shall see. The way the weather works around here, is you blink once and it changes!
Anyone else into knitting?? What sort of things do you knit??
The weather going crazy in your area??

Good to hear from you! Hope things get better for you. I do not knit...but blogging and reading relax me at night. Off to finish my book now!
Love the accessory! I can knit, but not such intricate patterns ... well then again maybe I could... but I probably would find it hard.
Karen -- I found a blog called Crazy Aunt Purl and the author is a knitter and has written a book called, "Drunk, Divorced and Covered in Cat Hair". I just finished reading it, and it is an excellent story about the author's divorce, and her realistic, but funny, way of going through it, and about taking up knitting during that time. And in the back she even gives knitting patterns! Since you knit, I bet you would enjoy it at least as much as non-knitting me did! :)
The sweater looks amazing! I can't wait to see it once it's finished!
The weather has been very cold here. No snow for awhile, just the cold. I would love to get one more good snow (for sledding) before spring!
I think that pattern looks amazing as well. Would be far to complicated for me to do. Glad to see a post from you - was wondering how things were going.
I knit and crochet. I haven't very extensive needle knitting. (mostly straight lines... for scarves). I want to learn more, though.
I crochet and I also recently discovered Knitting looms, which are my new addictions. I can't wait to see the finished product! hope you feel better!
That sweater looks beautiful! You're doing a great job.
I'm sorry about the gall bladder attack and stress eating. I do the same thing. I had my gall bladder removed though after a bad attack when I was 18. Weird, I know.
Good luck with J's job hunting. My husband is job hunting as well. I think. He's supposed to be but I'm not sure how hard he's looking...that's a whole nother story.
Love the sweater!! Sorry you have been in a funk. Seems we all go there some time or other.
If you go to my 2/21 post, you can see the sweater I made my granddaughter for her birthday. Right now I am into socks. The kids love them and all want some right now so am trying to get as many done as I can.
I have read Aunt Purl a couple of time, but I cannot tell you how I got there. Just blog surfing and wala there she was.
Hoping the job situation improves soon.
