It's Friday and it's a Fiesta !! At least it is, thanks to Candid Carrie ! :-)
I've always loved Peacocks. They are such a majestic bird.
My friend Lori's Mum, has a flock of them at her house. They wander all over and make very effective watch birds!
Wandering around the yard...
Keeping guard on the roof...
When I first walked into the family room, I thought, at first glance, that this was a real live peacock in full display. It's actually one that she made herself, from feathers the live birds and dropped. This woman is extremely talented!!
This one stands in the corner of her lounge.Unfortunately had to crop the end of the peacocks tail out of this photo, as my camera lens obviously had spots on it. A wonderful piece of artwork. Again, at first glance, you think you're looking at the real thing.
Amazing!!

Oh wow, these are fascinating photographs! I cannot imagine living amongst these majestic birds!
Alright, I will admit they frighten me. But they are gorgeous.
Thanks for finding us and for playing along!
Amazing is definitely the word! I never thought of peacocks as a domestic-type bird. The colors in the tails are beautiful. Does your friend (the one with the REALLY cool name!) have peahens too? What does a baby peacock look like? (Shutting up now... evidently I've had too much coffee...)
I love peacocks! We have them in our neighborhood...beautiful and noisey!
I simply love peacocks. One of our local apple orchards have a few that just roam the property. Next time I am out, I'll have to bring my camera.
Maybe I'll go today.....
I WANT ONE! I NEED ONE!
Ok, I don't need, but I want.
Beautiful! We have them walking around our neighborhood! They can be very noisy and slow crossing the street, but we love looking at them.
Love the picture -- my mother-in-law use to have one walking around their yard but we havn't been it for years.
WOW - she IS talented.
I get tickled at thier 'chatter' they remind me of kids crying. LOL
Before your explaination, I thought the peacocks were taking over the house!!
I've heard that when they call out to each other it sounds like a woman's scream and can be unsettling...
Those are awesome!
I used to work as an estate manager...and they had peacocks all over the place. It's really fun to explain to the body shop why you need scratches buffed out of the mercedes each week...
Good times :-)
there was a place down the road from where I used to work that raised peafowl. Absolutely beautiful birds, but have you heard them? The sounds of their cry vary a bit; sometimes they sound like a baby being tortured, sometimes it's more like a cat being tortured. creepy, eery, scary sound.
Those are great peacock mock-ups; all the beauty without the noise or mess.
Thanks you for the comment on the Friday stereotypes you see in Las Vegas. I guess that's what drives Vegas isn't it?
Those fake ones are CRAZY beautiful! So talented. I love peacocks too, but have only seen a couple in my life. Very pretty pics.
That one on the fireplace looks VERY real. How cool!
Found you on Candid Carrie.
Wow! What beautiful birds.
My son once came in the house and cried, "Dad, Dad! There's a peacock and a turkey in the back yard. Hubs told him no, that he must be mistaken; it was probably just a male turkey. Kyle replied, "Dad, I think I know the difference between a peacock and a TURKEY!" and sure enough; a male peacock and a female turkey were strutting through our yard! Nice pics.
Hey, Karen, tell your friend to go ahead and do the sand paint. As long as she's not the type to want to paint every few years and can leave it that way for a while, she'll love it. Might want to do some homework on what to do when she does want to change it, though. :)
Those two inside the house DO look real. Wow
I love peacocks also. We had them on our ranch when I was a child. They're loud and poop a lot, but fun to look at. :o)
Wow, my dogs would go nuts barking at these peacocks she made! They are a bit on the coward side so no injuries would be sustained!
Peacocks are just exquisite. I love the colors.
