Watery Wednesday - Veil Of Water ....

My first WW post :-)

The Peppermill Hotel Casino recently underwent a huge transformation, which included a number of water features.

These two shots were of the water feature at the front of the building.

It's like a veil of water falling in the form of a square, from the roof of a small stone pergola, that sits in a pool of water.

When you look through the arches of the pergola, you can see statues lining the wall to the side.

If you're a people watcher, like me, the stone ledges, surrounding the pool, make a nice, cool place to sit, on a hot summer's day, and watch the world go by :-)

Amazing water features, especially since I always imagine Reno to be in the desert. Hmmm. Maybe I ought to check a map. ;-)

That last shot is my favourite! Love the lines, the colors, the wall in the bac - and the little waterfall! Nice first entry on WW!

Thanks for stopping by!

I really enjoy water features and this looks like a great one. When I saw Peppermill I instantly thought of the restaurant in Vegas. I've never been to Reno.

Ooh, that does look cool. I've been to Reno several times but not in recent years. We're closer to Las Vegas now and go there occasionally.
I loved Lord of the Rings. I'm glad you're enjoying the U.S.

Those are nice and watery! The place looks like it would be fun to visit, too. About the pilings in Astoria, at least they don't smell! It's usually too cold!

I thought those pictures looked like a casino before I read your caption. It's nice to meet another Reno person who likes to take pictures around town.
