Skywatch Friday - Clouds and Reflections
Reflections fascinate me. They reflect back the world around us and often turn otherwise ordinary objects into things of interest, if not beauty..
(Click on any photo to enlarge)
The blue sky and clouds reflected in a downtown Reno building..
I was walking along the street and happened to glance up at the windows that slanted out, above the street. I rather liked the reflections I saw...
A thunderstorm moving over the top of the Grand Sierra Resort. Clouds are also reflected in the amber windows or the hotel tower..
As a bonus ...my friend Lori snapped this with her camera phone. She happened to glance out the door of her office and saw this cloud which is in the shape of a question mark. I'm not sure how to enlarge it, but you can see the shape of it. Unfortunately it had dispersed by the time she figured out the zoom function ..
I've never seen a cloud in this shape before. Perhaps it was the cloud gods asking 'What's up with the weather lately??' :-)
*UPDATE*
Thank you to Maria at CALM ENERGY or enlarging and sharpening the photo for me..

I love looking at what's reflected on the now many glass buildings.
Hi!
Aren't you glad that architects and engineers are planning buildings like this now!?!
Makes the thought of a high rise a little nicer :)
Ciao for now ~Maria
ps. the question mark cloud is very cool! Maria
I've always loved reflections on glass buildings, great pics.
Have a nice weekend

Reflections can alter perceptions and intensify experiences. I enjoyed your post.
Hi again :)
I enlarged the question mark cloud for you ... it's at the bottom of my blog... scroll all the way down
... I also used an HP program to sharpen it a little.
~Maria
like reflections what a nice dramatic one that darker picture. That's indeed a lucky shot with the question mark
Great reflections of the sky. And the question mark cloud is definitely a keeper.
Love the first photo!
And the ? cloud... could be 'someone' saying "Hey, two icons died today and are heading upwards, what's with that?????
*shrugging shoulders*
Ahhh weird.
Great series!
Beautiful reflection. :)

Oh! Thanks to Maria for the enlargement. She did a great job!
I, too, enjoy looking at the reflections in buildings. One of the few thinks I like about cities.
Gorgeous reflections off the building!
Those are all wonderful reflections. I love looking at reflections in buildings too.
Beautiful reflections. I really love the first two.
The first thing I saw when looking at that cloud was a hot air balloon. I love the window photo with the reflections. I've been out of town so couldn't thank you for your visit to my Camera Critter blog until now.
A question mark cloud, that's funny. Beautiful photos !

Love the reflections. The question mark .... hmz
I love your collection.
Nr 1 and 3 are gorgeous finds.
And the question mark is just awesome :)!
Maybe the question mark was done by a plane, sky writing?
I love the reflections in the glass, beautiful.

I agree, reflections are fun! I've been thinking about them a lot lately. Thanks for visiting :) I especially liked your second one.
The reflections in the glass are spectacular, but the question mark cloud is the most unusual skywatch I've seen.
Hi Karen and thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Great photos. I also love reflections, especially in those tall glass buildings. And a beautiful sky in your third shot...happy SWF!
Creative Skywatch! The reflections in the building are amazing. Thanks for visiting my skies. I like your blog - I'll be back!
Amber glass and storm clouds - so moody. Me likes!!!
A question mark cloud....amazing! nice shots!
I always like reflections! Yours are great. I enlarged your photo and it was very good.
Thanks for your green balloons! You might be right about the white balloon: it's a spying instrument to see what is going on in the bedroom! Ha, ha.. lol.
What nice reflections! The storm shot is my favorite.
And, that question mark is great.
That's funny, how the cloud was shaped that way. =) Nice photos.
The question mark cloud certainly is curious (pun intended.) Great reflections, too!
Wonderful reflections of the sky in these windows!!! As for the cloud formation ... I have no clue but it's definitely kewl ;--)
